About

Cranio Research Foundation

An independent foundation advancing the science of craniosacral therapy worldwide.

Craniosacral therapy has the potential to contribute meaningfully to human health and wellbeing. Yet it has not received the scientific research attention it deserves. We believe this field is ready for a more visible, structured and research-informed next step. The Cranio Research Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation established in the Netherlands to fund and advance scientific research into craniosacral therapy, in all its approaches and applications, nationally and internationally.

We are convinced that both the cranio community and the general public stand to benefit from a deeper, evidence-based understanding of this therapy. That is why we are building an interdisciplinary platform, bringing together researchers, healthcare practitioners and supporters from around the world to make that contribution. We pursue this through funding independent studies, organising congresses and symposia, and building CranioBase, our AI-supported knowledge centre for the community.

Governance

The Cranio Research Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors and who serve voluntarily. All decisions are made transparently and in the interest of advancing craniosacral therapy research. We accept no contributions that conflict with our independence or integrity. No board member benefits financially from foundation activities. A Scientific Advisory Council is currently being established to help guide our research priorities and support scientific rigour, relevance and independence.
